What is a traineeship?

A traineeship is an education and training programme with work experience that focuses on giving young people the skills and experience employers are looking for.  At its core, the work preparation training provides English and Maths for those who need it as well as a high quality work experience placement. Traineeships help prepare young people for their future careers by helping them to become “work ready”. They are an excellent way to discover what type of work suits you and to gain experience for the future.

Traineeships are an ideal opportunity for young people who are motivated to get a job, but lack the skills and experience employers are looking for.  Placements are available in Business Administration, Health & Social Care, Retail and Customer Service. Mentoring and support will be given throughout the programme to trainees to unlock their potential during the experience.
